Frequently asked questions
General
A: Before the recording, I will give
you a chronological list of questions or prompts, that will help jog your memory. Making
notes that you can refer to and digging out all the old photos, videos, heirlooms and
keepsakes of your life that are special helps as well. Additionally, I will be there guiding you
through the process, asking questions and making sure you are comfortable.
A: Having the camera focused on you is naturally
daunting and would be more so knowing it was going to be shown on TV. But this will never
be the case and the only people to watch you, will be your loved ones and future family who
adore you and are proud of you. Sometimes, having a loved one next to you can deflect the
attention enough to ease the nerves and even remind you of a memory that was forgotten.
A: Every recording is unique and can take 3-4 hrs to
record depending on how organised you are on the day, but generally a finished edited
version is approximately 1-2 hrs long. Editing usually take 2-3 weeks to complete.
A: Yes, absolutely. However, the whole process
takes longer as we’re compiling two life stories into one recording.
